Apple iPhone X seen featuring two batteries in a teardown video
NEW DELHI: A video showing the teardown of Apple iPhone X has popped up on YouTube revealing what could come as a surprise for many. The video coming from China, shows the smartphone being opened carefully, only to show users that the device comes with two batteries.
In the video, one can clearly see two batteries placed together, one above the other in an L-shape layout. The design however, is said to be used in order to make the most out of the limited space inside the body. In the remaining space, we can see other components placed tightly with each other.
It is worth mentioning that the Cupertino-based tech firm never reveals the battery capacity of its devices officially. However, in a recent Tenaa listing, it was mentioned that the smartphone comes with 2716mAh battery.
In addition to revealing the dual battery setup, the video also shows the smartphone's TrueDepth camera sensor and the Apple A11 Bionic processor.
For what's worth, in a teardown done by iFixit, the Apple iPhone 8 plus is seen with a single slab of 2691mAh battery.
Apple claims that that battery of the iPhone X "lasts up to 2 hours longer than iPhone 7." It also supports wireless charging and delivers 'wireless' talk time of up to 21 hours.
Furthermore, the battery supports fast charging technology. It can charge up to 50% in 30 minutes.
On a related note, Apple has made its iPhone X up for sales in India and other countries. The smartphone went on pre-orders last Friday (October 27) and the initial reports suggest a stupendous response to the smartphone, with the device going out of stock in less than an hour at most stores. The iPhone X comes at a starting price of Rs 89,000 in India.
