Micromax launches JioPhone-rival Bharat 1 4G VoLTE phone, priced at Rs 2,200
Micromax and state-run telecom operator BSNL launched on Tuesday a new 4G VoLTE feature phone, Bharat 1, priced at Rs 2,200. The phone competes with Reliance Jio’s JioPhone and BSNL will bundle unlimited data and voice calling for Rs 97. The device will be available from October 20.
The Bharat 1 comes with an unlocked SIM, which essentially means users can run any network SIM on the device. Micromax says the 4G feature phone has been manufactured in India.
The 4G feature phone comes in a candy bar design with alpha numerical keypad. It has a 2.4-inch QVGA screen. It is powered by a Qualcomm 205 processor and 512MB of RAM.
It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA selfie camera. The smart feature phone is powered by a 2,000mAh battery.
The Bharat 1 supports 22 Indian languages, a preloaded Micromax Entertainment app for Live TV, music, movies and videos streaming. The device also comes with the UPI app for digital payment.
