As the launch of the next iPhone draws closer, a number of speculations about the smartphone are coming up. And now, a report in New York Times states that Apple's next iPhone will be priced "around $999." This means, that the upcoming iPhone will be priced $350 more than the price of other iPhones today.

Apple is expected to launch three new iPhones -- iPhone 8iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus-- next month. Among these three, the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus are said to be redesigned versions of the iPhone 7, while iPhone 8 will reportedly come with a new design and will be almost bezel-less.

Apple was recently in news when reports revealed the date of the upcoming iPhones' launch. According to Mac4Ever, the Cupertino based technology giant will be launching its rumoured iPhone 8, iPhone 7S and the iPhone 7S Plus models on September 12.

The same report said that the smartphones will be going on sales starting September 22. However, there is no official statement on the date of the launch of the devices. Note that one can also expect to also see the roll-out of iOS 11, macOS High Sierra, WatchOS 4 and tvOS 11.

A separate report by Bloomberg has recently compiled all the 'new' features of the upcoming iPhone 8. According to the report, the Apple iPhone 8 will feature a 3D facial recognition sensor on top at the front that will enable users to unlock the device and make secure payments.

iPhone 8 is also expected to come with an infrared sensor that will let users unlock the device using face recognition even in low light situations. Besides these two sensors will be a 'Smart' camera with improved scene and object detection.

Apple's next device is also said to feature inductive charging. As seen in the leaks, the report says the iPhone 8 to feature a longer power button on the side.
