Samsung Galaxy Note 8 pre-order in India pegged for September 11, shipping to happen in October

Soon after the launch of the Galaxy Note 8, we came across reports that the device will be available for sale via Amazon India. Now, we have more details regarding its pricing and availability in India.

Going by a recent report on GSMArenaciting information from BSU, the Galaxy Note 8 pre-orders will be open on Amazon India and Samsung's online store from September 11. The device is believed to be priced at Rs. 74,900 and the shipping will debut in the first week of October. Notably, the pre-registration process has been debuted on the Samsung online store.

If this information turns out to be true, then the pre-order of the Galaxy Note 8 will start in India just a day before the announcement of the iPhone 8, iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. We say so as the recent speculation is thatApple will unveil these models of iPhone on September 12.

While the pre-orders in India is slated to debut on September 11, the device is all set to go on sale in select markets such as the U.K., the U.S., Canada, Europe and Australia on September 15.

Talking about the price point, the official pricing of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is yet to be announced. If you don't remember, the Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage was launched in the country at Rs. 74,900 and received a couple of price drops in just monthsafter its launch taking it to Rs. 65,900. Even if the Galaxy Note 8 is launched at such a hefty price point, we can expect the same to go down in months of its release.

Though the pricing is yet to be confirmed by the company, the rumored price tag of Rs. 74,900 makes sense given that the Galaxy S8+ has receive price drops to take it down from its launch price.
