Latest iPhone Leak Shows a Big, Beautiful Screen

Latest iPhone Leak Shows a Big, Beautiful Screen

As we roll up on September, the traditional season for new iPhones, details about Apple's newest flagship are leaking out left and right. Last week, a mockup leaked out of Apple's own code. Now, and image of the new iPhone in some sort of case illustrates it's flashiest feature: that big, beautiful screen.

Obtained by reliable and experience leaker Evan Blass, the new image is just the latest confirmation that Apple's next iPhone will have neither a Home button, nor the bezels that typically accompany it, instead opting for a face full of pure screen.
This lines up with previous rumors and speculation, which also suggest that Touch ID will either be on the back of the phone—where the button/fingerprint reader lives on most Android phones—or replaced entirely by facial-recognition tech that uses infrared vision so it can read your face even in the dark.
Big, gorgeous screens like this are the latest trend in premium phones, though Android variations like the Essential Phone and the Galaxy S8 have a little more bezel at the top and bottom then the new iPhone seems to.
While the look of the new phone should be no surprise at this point, there are still a few lingering questions. Is this the 'iPhone 8' or a new, premium line of iPhone all together? Rumors have indicated as many as 3 iPhone may be introduced in the fall, perhaps the more traditionally-styled iPhone 7S and 7S Plus we would be due for this year, and thenalso this fancy new one.
Why the extra options? Some rumors indicated this pretty new iPhone may cost as much as $1,200, hundreds of dollars more than Apple's previous phones. It seems unlikely Apple would completely abandon its traditional price points in favor of something so expensive, but we won't really know until September finally rolls around. Just don't expect the Hot New Thing to be cheap.
