Google Pixel XL 2, PixelBook images and prices leaked
NEW DELHI: A few days back, Google teased the arrival of its Pixel and Pixel XL smartphone successors which will be unveiled on October 4. While we have already seen some leaks indicating how the handset may look like, Droid Life has published some new leaks giving us a better idea of how the rumoured Pixel 2 XL will look in Black and White colours. The website has also posted the price tags of different storage versions of the smartphones.
The report states that the moniker 'Pixel 2 XL' will be the official name of the larger smartphone, which indirectly makes us think the smaller version could be called as the 'Pixel 2'. The Pixel 2 XL will be made by LG and will arrive in 64GB and 128GB inbuilt storage. The 64GB model is said to be priced at $849 and the 128GB is said to cost $949.
In the US, Google could also bring some offers on the new device. The Pixel 2 XL is said to cost $35.38/mo over 24 months, while the 128GB version could cost $39.54/mo as a part of the offer.
In a separate report, Droid Life has also unveiled the upcoming Chrome-based laptop, which won't be called the Pixel C 2 or the Chomebook, but a mix of both - PixelBook. The Google PixelBook is supposed to be a high-end version of the Chromebook but with a stylus and a hybrid (tablet/laptop) design.
It has been mentioned that the device will come in Silver colour variant and in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage versions. The 128GB model is said to cost $1199, while the 256GB and 512GB model could be priced at $1399 and $1749 respectively. The additional Pixel Pen will cost $99.
Another device that is being rumoured to make an appearance on Google's October 4 event is the Google Home mini, which as the name suggests, will be a smaller version of the Google Home speaker.
