NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 5A smartphone in China last month. The company has now launched a new 4GB RAM variant. The 4GB RAM variant of Redmi Note 5A is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, while the previous version is powered by Snapdragon 425.

The company has priced the new variant at CNY 1,199 (Rs 12,000). The smartphone is up for sale in China.


The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A sport metal build and comes in three colour variants - Platinum Silver, Champagne Gold and Rose Gold. They also run the new-launched MIUI 9. The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) screen and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor along with 4GB RAM. It also supports external storage via microSD card (up to 128GB). The camera department is taken care by a 13MP rear shooter with f/2.2 aperture and a 16MP front-facing shooter with f/2.0 aperture. Backed by a 3080mAh battery, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A base version also supports 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other regular connectivity options.

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has entered into partnership with Indian fitness brand HRX.

Recently, Xiaomi entered into partnership with Indian fitness brand HRX. As part of the partnership, the company has launched Mi Band - HRX Edition in India. Priced at Rs 1,299, the fitness tracker is available at all the leading online stores in India.


The Xiaomi Mi Band features a 0.42-inch OLED display that shows health information along with other stats like a heart rate monitor. other than the heart rate sensor, Mi Band 2 tracks the wearer's sleep and counts the steps taken using the updated pedometer. It sports a hypoallergenic silicone band and is IP67 rated that makes it water resistant as well.
