Oreo update starts rolling out to OnePlus 3 closed beta channel
OnePlus has reportedly started rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update to OnePlus 3 closed beta
group. According to a report in Android Police, the update weighs about 800MB.
The report also claims that the OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 5 smartphones too will be "receiving it soon as well" as the company is planning for a public beta by the end of September.
Last month, OnePlus had announced that Android O will be the last major OS update for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones. The company, however, said that it will continue to release security patches for the 'foreseeable future' for the two smartphones.
The last update received by the duo was the OxygenOS 4.1.7, which, besides the August security patch, also added an enhanced system fluidity, better optimizations and bug fixes for sound channel error, Indian Kannada language rendering issue and more. The update weighs 1.4GB.
Recently, OnePlus released OxygenOS 4.5.10 for OnePlus 5 users. The OxygenOS 4.5.10 for the OnePlus 5 introduces photo-noise reduction and brings improved camera stability as well. The update also improves the noise and texture of videos show in 60 frames per second. In addition to these camera improvements, the OxygenOS 4.5.10 also fixes accidental touches after hanging up, Improved Jio call functionality and fixes display issue on calling screen.
Besides this, some of the other fixes and improvements include Wi-Fi stability, clarity issue of videos taken by SnapShot app, display issue of new font and the scrolling issue of Play Music.
