Sony launches Soundbar HT-ST5000 in India, priced at Rs 1,50,990
Japanese consumer electronics giant Sony has launched its flagship 7.1.2 channel Soundbar HT-ST5000 featuring Dolby Atmos in India. Priced at Rs 1,50,990, the device will be available at all Sony Center outlets and other major electronic stores across India.
The Soundbar is claimed to deliver superior audio quality with S-Force PRO Front Surround. According to the company, sound quality is enhanced with coaxial magnetic fluid speaker and a 180mm Sigma Subwoofer unit that delivers balanced sound and a clearer bass.

The Soundbar HT-ST5000 comes with S-Master HX digital amplifier that reduces distortion for precise results with high-frequency ranges which is above 40kHz. It also has Digital Sound Enhancement Engine, DSEE HX which upscales your existing sound source to near high-resolution sound quality. It also comes with a wireless subwoofer that has three HDCP 2.2-compatible HDMI inputs, one HDMI ARC output, optical SPDIF, analogue AUX, and a USB connection.
The Soundbar also has Bluetooth & NFC as connectivity options. Users can also connect the Soundbar to the internet with built-in Wi-Fi for instant access to music services via Chromecast built-in, and stream music from devices. Besides this, it is compatible with Sony Music Center App (previously called SongPal) and allow you to control the music systems through smartphone or tablet. The app can also be used to customise sound settings to ensure balanced audio.
Recently, Sony launched Soundbar HT-CT290 in India at Rs 19,990. The HT-CT290 sound bar delivers 330W peak power and is compatible with Sony's sound deflector with S-Force Pro front surround sound. On the connectivity front, it offers Bluetooth and USB and one HDMI port.
