These Motorola smartphones will get Android 8.0 Oreo update
NEW DELHI: Google recently started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo update for its Pixel and Nexus devices. Soon after that some various smartphones makers also revealed the list of smartphones which will receive the update. Now Lenovo-owned Motorola too has released a list of smartphones that will receive Android 8.0 Oreo update.


As per the list, the Motorola smartphones that are set to get the Android 8.0 Oreo update include - Moto Z/Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Force Droid, Moto Z Play/Moto Z Play Droid, Moto Z2 Play, Moto Z2 Force Edition, Moto X4, Moto G5, Moto G5 Plus, Moto G5S, Moto G5S Plus.


With the Android Oreo update the smartphones will get various new features. The Android O will bring notification channels, picture in picture (PIP) display, background limits, adaptive icons, snooze notifications, autofill APIs, support for high-quality Bluetooth audio codecs, keyboard navigation and more.


Recently, Lenovo-owned Motorola launched its Moto G5S and G5S Plus smartphones in India. The Moto G5S is priced at Rs 13,999, while the Moto G5S Plus will be available at Rs 15,999.


Billed as successors to the Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus smartphones, the new 'Special Edition' smartphones run on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box and sport metal unibody design. They have a home button at the front embedded with a fingerprint scanner. The duo comes in Iron Grey and Blush Gold colour variants.
