ZTE to reveal the most interesting phone of 2017 on October 17
Looking at the event invite, it comes with a large letter "M" that's split into two. The two sides seem to be depicting or doing something different. It could be that ZTE is trying to show a multi-screened phone is coming for sure. While the details about the new smartphone have been scarce, we are assuming the device to possibly be another value-focused, feature-packed flagship. ZTE has been on an innovating spree and the recent reports did suggest that ZTE could launch a dual-screen phone supposedly called ZTE Axon Multy in October. And as there are no other ZTE smartphones that we can think of currently, the Multy could be the phone that will make its debut On October 17. Interestingly, the two sides that form an M also suggests that the strange Multy name is on point. Previous rumors and leaks have suggested that Axon Multy, is expected to feature a horizontal clamshell design while being foldable along its vertical axis. There will likely be two 6.8-inch displays which will come with 1920x1080 resolution, The displays will be placed both on the front and rear faces of the handset. The two screens is also said to meet at the hinge to form a 6.8-inch 2,160 x 1,920 viewing surface in an unfolded state. The device will be sub-10-millimeter in thickness even in the folded state. Regarding the specifications, Axon Multy will reportedly come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. The device will offer 32GB of storage and will be backed by a 3120mAh battery. Talking about the optics, the smartphone will feature a single camera that will be a 20 MP sensor. The smartphone is expected to launch with a price tag of $650 (approximately Rs. 41,616 ). Unfortunately, it looks like the smartphone will be exclusive to U.S. customers only when it is launched. As for the global release, it could take some time or it may not be launched at all. ZTE could go with the experimenting strategy and see how well the device does first in the U.S. Then the company could decide on whether to release the device or not in other markets. In any case, the smartphone manufacturer could make some announcements during the launch event.
